ACCESS FUNDING & FUNDING PLACES

2-Year Funded Places (15 Hours)

This is available at all three of our settings for eligible 2 year olds. Parents are required to meet an eligibility criteria set by the government in order to access this funding. More details of this can be found at Birmingham.gov.uk or Childcare Choices.

3- and 4-Year-Old Universal Funded Places (15 Hours)

This is available at all three of our settings and all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to this provision. Funding is given for 15 hours per week during term time or 12 hours per week all year round.

30 Hour Funding (3 and 4 Year Olds)

The 30 hour funding is also available at all of our sites and offers working parents up to 30 hours of funding for childcare.
Both parents have to be working a minimum of 16 hours each per week and earning less than £100k to be eligible and parents do have to reconfirm eligibility EVERY 3 MONTHS in order to remain eligible for this funding.
Places are usually allocated as three full days during term time at our Kingstanding branch but our Handsworth Wood branch and Great Barr branch has more flexibility as they stretch the entitlement over 48 weeks and offer up to 24 hours per week all year round.
We do ask parents to make a small contribution towards meals and consumables on the 30 hour funded places. More details can be found at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk or by calling one of our nurseries.

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-free childcare is a government-backed scheme which helps parents with the cost of childcare. The scheme gives eligible families an extra 20% towards childcare costs. To qualify, both parents must be working 16 hours per week or more and earning less than £100,000pa. All three of our settings are registered to accept payment through this scheme.
